A sequel to Lords of the Fallen is underway at developer Hexworks, and it may end up looking quite different from its predecessor, according to the latest financial report from publisher CI Games. Details remain quite scant, but along with gameplay improvements and additional game modes, the sequel will reportedly opt for a "more commercial art style and narrative" and prioritise "elevated production values".
Eurogamer perused the fine print and found some other interesting tidbits. This unnamed sequel targets a 2026 release date, with additional information to be revealed next year. CI Games also has two other projects in pre-production: the next entry in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series and Project H, a new action RPG aiming for a 2028 launch. In a mildly interesting revelation, Lords of the Fallen apparently contributed 72% of CI Games' total revenue in the first half of 2024 despite releasing in October of 2023.
